Wade and Debbie began their journey of faith during their college years at the University of Colorado–Boulder, where Wade was baptized in 1987 and Debbie in 1989. Married since 1992, they are grateful parents to three wonderful daughters and blessed with two sons-in-law who have become cherished members of their family.
Wade holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado and a master’s in Community Counseling from Denver Seminary. As a Licensed Professional Therapist, he brings extensive experience in marital and premarital counseling, family dynamics, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
Debbie earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Metropolitan State University and a Master’s degree in biblical studies and theology from Lincoln Christian University. Her blend of spiritual insight and compassionate care has shaped her ministry and teaching for decades.
Since 1990, Wade and Debbie have devoted themselves to full-time ministry in Denver, San Diego, and with HOPE worldwide. From 2013 to 2016, they chaired the International Singles Service Team, an experience that deepened their lifelong passion for Singles Ministry.
In 2023, Wade and Debbie moved back to Denver to care for Wade’s aging parents. Debbie has remained a full-time care provider while Wade reentered the counseling field along with beginning a new career with Southwest Airlines.
The Cooks are adventurers at heart—whether scuba diving in the Philippines or traveling on extended mission trips throughout Southeast Asia. Above all, they love exploring the world and cherishing time with their family.
