We’re excited to welcome CJ and Sheree Wakefield to Knoxville this weekend! CJ will be preaching this Sunday (5/3). In preparation, CJ has asked the church to read Luke 14:1–14 ahead of time and reflect on the following questions:

  1. What is at the heart of Jesus' teaching here? What is he trying to teach and why?
  2. Why did Luke include this in his gospel?
  3. What are the lessons for us today?

Additionally, the Wakefields will be moving to Cape Town, South Africa in June. Since many of us would love to spend some extra time with them before they go, the Deckers are hosting a come-and-go chili lunch on Sunday from 12:30–2:00 PM at their home.
